This is much waited day in event calendar of HNI Foundation every year .The special day for spear heading project “Senehase Yathra” for members of HNI Foundation to share empathy towards selected 31 expectant mothers was happened at Siyabalanduwa MOH on Thursday 21 April this year.

President of HNI Foundation Mr,Rajith Perera invited to medical representatives of MOH Divisional Secretariat of Siyabalanduwa in divisional secretariat of Monaragala district and members of HNI Foundation to present gift packs of essentials such as nappies ,wipes, clothing, bedding, Moses baskets, cots, blankets, toys an umbrella nets and feminine products.
Further as mentioned at the gathering by the president, every child deserves the best possible start in life .Our concern is reliable and consistent contribution for the deserving expectant in the communities, to ensure no baby goes without essential baby care products during this crucial time. We are fulfilling our promise to build a better world for babies of today and tomorrow, and right now it’s more important than ever to help get nappies and other vital products into the hands of those who need them most. This is a resource for to be parents.

This is the fourth consecutive year of Senehase Yathra ,such an inspirational initiative launched by HNI Foundation under the directives of Ms Renuk Fonseka , Director of Events which was started to provide essentials to twenty expectant on recommendation of Medical Officer Health. Its such a difficult time for many families right now,it will take a little strain off those struggling with the current cost-of- living . Child care costs are at an all time high coupled with scarcity of quality baby care products,we really don’t know what in need a huge difference our things could make to a family, especially those with young children, though we could see how much it meant to all of fabulous gift pack recipients together who were at the audience.
